The VERITY Project will be participating in the upcoming OPERAS International Workshop, organised under the support of the Belgian Presidency of the Council of the European Union.

This event focuses on the crucial issue of disinformation and trust in the digital age. VERITY partners, University of West Attica and Trilateral Research, together with the sister projects POIESIS project and IANUS Project, will be at the science truck.

The VERITY onsite session will be on the 27th of June from 14:00h-16:00h CET at the Royal Library of Belgium (KBR), moderated by Dr. Agata Gurzawska. The session is entitled: “How can stewards of trust collaborate to enhance engagement against (digital) dis- and misinformation in the context of science?” During this session it will be explored how various stakeholders— research funding organisations, universities, policy-makers, citizens, companies, and social media platforms—can collaboratively combat digital dis- and misinformation. It will be discussed ‘trust in science’ as a dynamic relationship within the ecosystem of trust highlighting the roles of both traditional and non-traditional Stewards of Trust.
